1LICENSE GRANT

The Software is licensed, not sold.

a. FREE COMPONENTS. The Crucible launcher and any App designated as free (such as Crucible Local Server) are licensed to you free of charge under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use them for your own personal or internal commercial use.

b. PAID APPS. Each paid App (such as Crucible Heightmap) is licensed only while you hold an active, paid subscription for that App obtained through an authorized channel (see Section 10). Subject to that subscription you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use that App on up to two (2) devices per license key, for your own personal or internal commercial use (including creating and using heightmaps and other output in your own projects), for the duration of your active subscription. This license is NOT perpetual: it continues only while that subscription is current and paid, and ends when the subscription expires, is not renewed, or is cancelled. Installing the launcher or a free App grants no right to any paid App.

2RESTRICTIONS

You may NOT:

a. resell, rent, lease, sublicense, lend, or otherwise distribute the Software or any copy of it;

b. share, upload, mirror, or make the Software available to any third party, publicly or privately;

c. decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive the source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;

d. circumvent, disable, or tamper with the license activation, validation, or any technical protection measure in the Software, or use a paid App without a valid, active license;

e. remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, branding, or this notice;

f. use the Software to build or assist a competing product.

3OWNERSHIP

The Software, its code, design, and all intellectual property in it remain the exclusive property of the copyright holder. This Agreement transfers no ownership.

4OUTPUT

Heightmaps, maps, server configurations, notes, and other files you generate with the Software are yours. You may use them freely, including commercially. This Agreement places no claim on your generated output.

5DATA AND PRIVACY

The Software contains no advertising, analytics, or telemetry. It does not track how you use it, does not profile you, and does not report your activity to anyone. It collects no personal data about you. Your projects, seeds, maps, settings, notes, server files, and generated output stay on your computer and are never uploaded.

The Software connects to the internet only for the purposes below, and sends only what each purpose requires.

a. UPDATES. The launcher and each App download their own updates from the official update service.

b. LICENSING (paid Apps only). To activate and periodically validate a paid App's license, the Software sends your license key and a device identifier derived from your computer's name to the payment and licensing provider (see Section 10), which is what allows a key to be used on a limited number of devices. Nothing else is sent with it. Free components require no license and send no license key.

c. NAME RESOLUTION. So that activation still works on a computer whose own DNS is broken, filtered, or misdirected, the Software looks up the licensing service's address through public encrypted-DNS resolvers first, and falls back to your system's own DNS. Only the address being looked up is sent: no license key, and nothing about you.

d. STORE AND SUBSCRIPTION. If you buy or manage a subscription inside the launcher, the launcher contacts a store service operated on the copyright holder's behalf, which relays the request to the payment provider. The provider's checkout page is displayed inside the launcher window and is subject to the provider's own terms and privacy policy. Your payment details are entered there; they are never seen, handled, or stored by the Software.

e. CRUCIBLE LOCAL SERVER. When you use Crucible Local Server, it downloads what you have asked it to install, from the relevant publisher: the Rust dedicated server files and their build information, the Carbon or Oxide modding framework, and any plugin you choose. It can also look up your own public IP address, so it can show you a connect string to share. These requests carry no personal data. As with opening any web page, the service being contacted can see the IP address the request came from.

f. LOCAL STEAM DATA. Crucible Local Server can read your local Steam login file to offer your SteamID when you make yourself server admin. That value is written only to your own server's configuration on your own computer. It is never transmitted.

Section 14 describes the network listeners Crucible Local Server opens on your own machine.

6NO WARRANTY

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, DATA LOSS, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

8TERMINATION

This license terminates automatically if you breach any term, and, for a paid App, on the expiry, non-renewal, or cancellation of that App's subscription. On termination you must stop using and delete all copies of the affected Software. Files you already generated remain yours and are unaffected (see Section 4). Sections 3, 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, and 14 survive termination.

9UPDATES

Updates and new versions are made available through the Software's built-in update mechanism, at the copyright holder's sole discretion. For a paid App, access to updates ends when that App's subscription ends. Any update is governed by this Agreement unless it is accompanied by a different license.

10AUTHORIZED PURCHASE AND DELIVERY

A paid App's license is valid only for a copy obtained through an authorized sales channel operated by or on behalf of the copyright holder: the Crucible launcher's built-in store, or the official website at https://drizzza.com. Access to a paid App is provided on a recurring monthly or annual subscription basis, which renews automatically until cancelled. Payments and subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, applicable sales tax/VAT, recurring billing, license-key issuance, subscription management, cancellation, and any refunds, subject to its own terms and policies; Lemon Squeezy is not the licensor and grants no rights in the Software. The Crucible launcher and free Apps are distributed free of charge from the official website and update service. Any copy obtained from any other source is unlicensed and unauthorized, and use of it is a breach of this Agreement and an infringement of copyright.

11THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE

a. BUNDLED COMPONENTS. The Software includes third-party open-source components (including the Tauri framework, React, Three.js, Zustand, the Unity runtime, and the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts) under their respective permissive licenses. Those licenses apply only to their respective components, not to the Software as a whole.

b. SOFTWARE OBTAINED ON YOUR BEHALF. Crucible Local Server is a management tool for software the copyright holder does not own, author, or distribute. At your direction it downloads, installs, and runs third-party software on your computer, including Valve's SteamCMD, Facepunch's Rust dedicated server, the Carbon and Oxide modding frameworks, and community plugins from uMod. That software is not part of the Software, is not licensed to you by the copyright holder, and is governed solely by its own licenses and terms, including Valve's and Facepunch's. The copyright holder does not endorse, vet, control, or accept responsibility for it, and does not warrant its availability. Plugins in particular are code written by third parties that runs with full access inside your server process; you choose, install, and run them entirely at your own risk, and you are responsible for reviewing what you install.

12GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by and construed under the laws of the jurisdiction in which the copyright holder resides, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction for any dispute arising from it, except that nothing here removes any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the law of your own country of residence.

13GENERAL

If any provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. The copyright holder's failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. This Agreement is the entire agreement between you and the copyright holder regarding the Software and supersedes any prior understanding. The copyright holder may revise these terms for future versions; your continued use of an update constitutes acceptance of the terms accompanying it.

14LOCAL SERVERS AND HOSTING

Crucible Local Server runs a Rust dedicated server on your own computer. While that server is running, it opens network listeners on your machine, including the game, query, and RCON ports, and a local file host used to deliver a custom map to the server. Making that server reachable from outside your own network requires changes you make yourself, such as forwarding ports on your router; the Software does not make them for you and cannot make them on your behalf.

You are solely responsible for any server you run: for the conduct and the content on it, for securing it (including keeping your RCON password private and not exposing RCON to the internet), for any data belonging to other people that it processes, and for complying with Facepunch's terms and any law that applies to you. The copyright holder does not operate, host, moderate, monitor, or have any access to your server.
